A Great First Month!

We’ve started our 11th year off strong and full of service with the Ice Bucket Challenge to support ALS Research and a great performance by our staff, parents, and community friends in our 6th annual Reach the Beach Relay!  A huge shout out to Captain Cate for his great organization of our RTB Team!  We also had a beautiful day for our REACH Day trips and activities – a big shout out to our form leaders for their planning and preparation!

We were excited to host our families at Back to School Night last Wednesday. We had a terrific turn out and it was great to see you all!  Thank you to everyone who helped make our pot-luck a delicious success.

Our 2014 MCAS results were made public on September 18th and we couldn’t be more proud of our students and teachers for such strong outcomes.  We demonstrated high growth in both ELA and math and 100% of our 10th graders earned advanced or proficient on the ELA MCAS.  Families should expect to receive MCAS reports in the mail this week.

This week we’re looking forward to Picture Day (9/23) and a Half-Day Service Learning day on Friday (9/26).  Please remember that Service-Learning days are essential to our mission and are an academic requirement for all students.
