We're Ready for Spring!!

March 12th, 2015   /   Posted by Kristine Sgambellone

Now that the weather seems to be cooperating, we’re back in the swing of things here and it has been an amazing few weeks for our students and staff. Boys and girls basketball wrapped up with exciting home games and some of their best records ever. Last weekend the school play, “The Mouse That Roared,” ran for two days at Ames Hall and included one of the largest and most talented casts we’ve ever put together. Just the next day, one of our seniors, Mayreny Perez, placed third in the state in the annual Poetry Out Loud competition. Another of our seniors, Adesuwa Eghe, recently received this year’s student award from the Salem Award Foundation for Human Rights and Social Justice. Needless to say, we’re feeling pretty proud of all the academic, athletic and creative accomplishments of our talented student body. As classrooms get back in their groove and the snow melts, we’re ready for spring with all of the opportunities that it brings, from PARCC and MCAS testing, to service learning trips to New Orleans, to history projects, to Spanish theater trips to New York. Not many dull days ahead.
