Where Are They Now

Honor Baslim graduated from Salem Academy in 2011. She is currently attending Stetson University in DeLand, Florida with an expected graduation May 2015. Honor is a Family Enterprise major, Community Engagement minor. She is a scholar with the nationally known Bonner Scholars Program and will be acting as Stetson Bonner Programs Senior Intern during the 2014-2015 school year.  Honor also serves on Stetson’s Student Conduct Board and Stetson’s Traffic Court and works as a Student Assistant for the Family Enterprise Center, acting as both a Teaching Assistant and performing administrative duties.

Chelsea Borden graduated from Salem Academy in 2011. She is a senior Communication Arts major at Framingham State University, expected to graduate in Spring 2015. Chelsea spends her time as the secretary of the Hilltop Players, the theatre group on campus, and is also secretary of the Improv Club at Framingham. She has produced two plays at the school as well as starring in a few herself. This summer Chelsea is balancing two jobs, Salem’s “Cry Innocent” and the Salem Public Library. She can’t wait for school to start back up in the Fall!

Kyle Brunet graduated from Salem Academy in 2013. He is currently attending Salem State University, majoring in communications with a concentration on media production. He is expected to graduate from SSU in the spring of 2017. Outside of college, he is involved in a band and makes his own music. Kyle is looking to become more involved in activities outside of my normal classes in the fall.

Fallon Burke graduated from Salem Academy in 2012. She attends Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pennsylvania, where she is an International Relations and Spanish double major with a concentration in Latin America. At Bucknell Fallon is involved with the Bucknell Brigade (a service delegation to Nicaragua), is a member of the Student Philanthropy Education Council, and is a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Fraternity. Fallon has spent the last 2 months working at Salem Academy and is now off to Argentina for a semester abroad!

Alison Palmer graduated from Salem Academy in 2010, and went on to attend American University in Washington, DC. She graduated from American in May, 2014 with a Bachelors degree in International Studies and a minor in Japanese. She is currently teaching high school English in Tokyo, Japan with the JET Program. On her days not at school, she works at the Tokyo Board of Education helping to draft and translate speeches, educational policies, and professional development seminars.

Jessica Sitnikova graduated from Salem Academy in 2012. She is currently attending Salem State University expected to graduate in 2016 majoring in Bio-medical Science. Jess is also a lifeguard at the pool complex at Salem State.

Erica Turlo graduated from Salem Academy in 2013. She attends Lasell College in Newton, MA and is a expected to graduate in 2017. Erica is majoring in psychology and minoring in child adolescent studies. Erica is involved in the Health Education group on campus and enjoys singing in the college chorus. She also works at the on-campus daycare center.

Chris Valle graduated from Salem Academy in 2011. He is studying Computer Information Systems at Bentley University in Waltham with an expected graduation of spring 2015. At school, Chris tutors younger students in coding and is also involved in basketball Intramurals. This summer Chris is working as web & software developer for Liberty Mutual in Dover, NH.
