Lower School MAP Testing
45 Congress St

Students in Grades 6–8 will participate in the NWEA MAP Growth assessment from Tuesday, September 2 through Friday, September 5. Students will take MAP again in the winter and spring so that teachers and families can see how each student is growing over the school year. The purpose of MAP testing in middle school is to help us better understand each student’s current learning skills and needs in reading and math. This diagnostic is not something students need to study for in advance. Instead, it helps teachers personalize instruction and set goals for growth. What families can do to support their student: Ensure they get a good night’s sleep the evening before testing Make sure they have a healthy breakfast each morning Arrive on time to school (8:15) as testing can begin promptly at 8:40 a.m. No additional academic or mental preparation is needed—students should simply come ready to do their best.
